ABOUT

ABOUT RAMBLIN’ MAN

On July 29th & 30th 2017, there is only one place to be. Ramblin’ Man Fair is an annual music festival celebrating classic and contemporary rock, progressive rock, blues and country.

Ramblin’ Man Fair – brought to you by Spirit Of Rock – has a unique philosophy. It is a rock festival designed for rock fans by rock fans. Our aim is to create the ultimate festival experience.

Ramblin’ Man Fair has the perfect location in Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent – close to London and easily accessible from continental Europe, and surrounded by beautiful English countryside. In addition, we offer the very best in food and drink, including our own beer festival. Our accommodation includes Glamping at the Ranch in Mote Park and Camping at The Mote. And our VIP facilities include a special bar with viewing platform.

No wonder that Ramblin’ Man Fair is described by Classic Rock magazine as “the best new festival in Britain”.

The first two years of Ramblin’ Man Fair, have provided so many great memories. The Scorpions celebrating their 50th anniversary with their first UK show in more than a decade. Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Gregg Allman performing on a British stage for the final time in our first year. Classic rock legends Whitesnake and the first ever UK headline festival show for southern rock princes Black Stone Cherry on the main stage in 2016. The Prog Stage has lit up by the likes of Hawkwind, Family, The Zombies, Marillion, Camel, Anathema, Jethro Tull legend Ian Anderson and Procol Harum. The Blues Stage has been graced by Bernie Marsden and Joanne Shaw Taylor, Warren Haynes and Walter Trout. The Outlaw Country Stage has been rocked by Jason & The Scorchers, The White Buffalo, Hayseed Dixie and Shooter Jennings. Over two years we have had so many other great performances from such diverse acts as Rival Sons, Dream Theater, Saxon, Blue Oyster Cult, Thin Lizzy, Thunder, Airborne, Europe, Terrorvision, and The Temperance Movement.

But that has just been the beginning! For 2017, Ramblin’ Man Fair has an outstanding line-up of great acts from across the world, details below…

OFF-SITE – CAMPING AT THE MOTE
CAMPING FIELD & LIVE IN VEHICLES

Whilst technically “Off-site”, Camping at the Mote is adjacent to Mote Park and literally a few minutes ramble to the entrance of the Ramblin’ Man Fair arena.

Following a sell out year in 2016, we return to Mote Park Cricket Club with an even easier booking system! Vehicles will also be parking on a separate area just a short walk from the campsite. To fully ensure that community feeling, we will not be marking out pitches but instead larger areas where you and your friends can pitch up together and meet likeminded fellow campers!

Every member of your camping party whether in traditional tents, a caravans or motorhome need to have an admission ticket and a camping pass. If you are bringing a car or motorbike, please purchase the suitable Vehicle Supplement. As space is extremely limited at Camping at the Mote please only bring a tent suitable to the size of your party. Please note, no live in vehicles will be permitted on the Camping at the Mote – Camping Field.

Returning for 2017 is our Camping at the Mote – Live In Vehicle Field. This field accommodates caravans & motorhomes and is only a short walk from the festival site. Customers staying in the Live In Vehicle Field will also have access to the Camping Field. Please note, we regrettably do not have any water or power hook ups available. As with our Camping Field, you will need to purchase your admission ticket and a Live In Vehicle pass for each member of your party plus the suitable vehicle pass.

Camping at The Mote (both Camping Field and Live in Vehicle Field) is 3 nights from Friday 22nd July – Monday 24th July.

Here’s how it works:

  • Purchase your admission ticket
  • Choose what camping pass you need – Camping Field or Live In Vehicle Field
  • Select what vehicle you have (if any) Disabled customers should contact info@ramblinmanfair.com to discuss your requirements. Please note that you cannot park you campervan or motorhome in the car park at Mote Park itself.
