Black Star Riders are lined up to play an exclusive acoustic set in the Ramblin’ Man Fair VIP tent.
VIP ticket holders will get the chance to see BSR’s Ricky Warwick and Damon Johnson busting out the acoustic guitars for a set of stripped-down classics on Saturday July 29 before the full band take to the Planet Rock Main Stage as Special Guests.
“I love acoustic gigs just as much as big gigs,” Ricky tells us. “It’s a different vibe and atmosphere.”
As well as this exclusive one-off performance, Ramblin‘ Man Fair VIP tickets get you early entry to the festival site that allows you to have a proper look around and get acclimatised before the crowds arrive. They also give you access to the exclusive VIP area where you can enjoy a drink at the VIP bar, chill out with some quality food at our picnic tables or even gain access to the luxury toilets! It also allows you to catch any of the weekends other acoustic sets. You can buy your VIP tickets here.
Black Star Riders themselves are currently warming up for their Ramblin’ Man appearance with a series of European dates that see them breaking in new drummer Chad Szeliga, formerly of Black Label Society.
The band have also just announced that they have resigned to Nuclear Blast, the label that put out their first three albums, 2013’s All Breaks Loose, 2015’s The Killer Instinct and 2017’s Heavy Fire.
“Nuclear Blast have been there since the inception of Black Star Riders, believing in the band and most importantly the songs,” says Ricky Warwick. “After three very successful albums, it’s a no-brainer for the band to stay where we belong.”
We second that. Here’s to more killer BSR music…
